Product Information

Renowned artist Bertil Vallien has named this collection of sculptures VITRUVIUS, after the Roman architect. Vitruvius’ stance on houses and humans, dating back nearly 2000 years, has always appealed to Bertil. Incorporating impulses from music was just as important as mathematics to the Roman architect and philosopher in his field of work. Inspired by Vitruvius’ interest in city planning, Bertil has made the little glass buildings in this collection in the shape of board-game figures – to be moved around according to taste and preference. “This could very well be my first truly interactive piece,” as the artist himself puts it when presenting this original creation. Vitruvius is handmade in Kosta, Sweden, and available in a limited edition of 60 pieces.
