“Glass has a process and a pace that attracts me. It is intense, demanding attention, and cooperation is essential. I am a trained glassblower in a place that is marked by a historic glass industry, and my role as a glassblower is central to my process. With arts and crafts as a method, the opportunity is given for the closeness to the craft as well as a questioning of norms concerning objects and aesthetics. I often move in the borderland between function and sculpture. Working with design provides an opportunity to influence our relationship with the object and how we socialize around it.”
