Lab

Lab by Kosta Boda is a new collaboration with brothers and fellow designers Matti and Simon Klenell. It’s a collection of vases at the intersection of function and decoration, inspired by the aesthetics and archetypes of traditional laboratory glass. The contemporary collection takes the rigid form and impeccable function of these scientific accessories, then adds colors and patterns to create an equally bold and unexpected expression.  Lab consists of four objects, crafted and mouth-blown in Kosta and available in a range of colors. All pieces are versatile, suitable for serving beverages at the table, holding cut flowers, or simply as stunning decorative objects.

Two Designer Brothers

Matti and Simon Klenell

Matti Klenell (born in 1972) is a Swedish designer who’s acclaimed for his innovative contributions to Scandinavian design. He works widely with different materials but often returns to glass as a way of expression. His brother, Simon Klenell (born 1985) describes himself as both a designer and a craftsman. His way of working is driven by the material, and he works almost exclusively with glass. It’s also in the glass itself that he finds his greatest inspiration and curiosity.
