“One of the glass objects I like the best is the classic Apple by Ingeborg Lundin. It is so delicate, so optically captivating, even in clear glass. The Beans collection is my homage to the Apple. It is freehand blown, relying entirely on the glassblower’s skills. I wanted to make it clear that a person made this object with only centrifugal force and a sole breath. These objects have no function beyond the feeling they convey. None are identical. They bear traces of the hand that made them. To me, that is a guiding light for our Kosta Boda Artist Collection.”
