Product Information
For the first time ever, Åsa Jungnelius’ contemporary classic Snippan is being presented as a smaller sculpture that can also be used as a bowl. Since it was first created in 2003, Snippan has become a contemporary feminist symbol. The sculpture is part of Nationalmuseum’s collection (Sweden’s museum of art and design). Snippan Clear/Gold from the Kosta Boda Artist Collection is cast in our hotshop here in Kosta and hand-painted with 21K gold.

Åsa Jungnelius
Åsa Jungnelius (born in 1975) lives and works in Stockholm and in Månsamåla, Sweden, where she previously shared the glassworks with the celebrated Kosta Boda artist Ulrica Hydman Vallien, her mentor and a great source of inspiration. In 2004, the artist had her first major success with her degree project created for one of Sweden's most prestigious art and design universities, called “I like your hairstyle!” In the installation, she created a surrealist shopping scene with objects that spark desire.
